Quote from the full page Salinas Californian newspaper article

“There were some kids who needed to read better (before the program), and some who would read a page and need to go back five six, seven times. They weren’t retaining the information. Now their comprehension is up and they feel good about themselves. They come up and say, ‘Can we just read for class today?’ I think that is a really good thing. Any time you can encourage the students to read, we’re benefiting them and us, because they’re the future.”

Quote from the Salinas Californian newspaper article

“Spring View Middle School was fortunate to have Donna Olson teach the “Read and Remember” reading and comprehension program to one of our eighth grade classes last year. Once the program was completed, which included a pretest and post post test of their reading comprehension, 75% of the students showed dramatic improvement in their reading and comprehension scores. In fact 24% doubled their scores. Following this one day program, our teacher was able to incorporate these new reading strategies into the students’ regular assignments. I am confident once your students have experienced growth that you will want to continue this program in your schools.”

“I think ReadThinkRemember is a very good program. It was a little rough at the beginning but then I finally caught on to it. I think every kid should learn it. It is a very good program if you keep practicing it, you will see the difference.”
